Anna Jones Greenpeace campaign brief notes

Greenpeace exists because this fragile earth deserves a voice. It needs solutions. It needs change. It needs sustainability. It needs kindness. It needs us.

Founded in 1971, Greenpeace is a movement of people who are passionate about defending the natural world from destruction.

Communication is everything in order to raise awareness and bring about change. We need to persuade government and corporate decision makers to act and we need to engage the public to raise awareness of the issues going on in this world. Our message needs to get the audience in multiple ways – directly through the media. We therefore have multiple potential audiences.

Forests are our life support system. But the Amazon and other South American forests are under threat like never before. The biggest cause is the meat and dairy industry. Did you know in the UK we eat twice as much meat and three times as much dairy than the global average.

Tesco is the biggest supermarket chain in the UK, it is funding the destruction of the Amazon and the other regions of Brazil.
